It starts in Liverpool about 1980, mainly urban landscape. The archive also covers many visits to Newcastle and Tyneside. The archive includes a year in Newport from 1983 to 1984 and covers key events at the very beginning of the Miners Strike in South Wales. It becomes more political covering events in Liverpool involving the Militant Labour Council and it's battle with The Thatcher government and the Labour Party. In 1985 to 2000 I was staff photographer for the Militant Newspaper based in London covering hundreds of picket lines, protests, demos, Labour, Tory and Union conferences, and urban landscapes all over Britain, France, Spain and the North of Ireland. The collection in the 1990's is mainly based in Liverpool covering events like the murder of James Bulger, the aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster, the illegal autopsies from Alder Hey and the '95-'98 Liverpool Dockers dispute.
Books published include Liverpool the 80's and Dockers, the '95-'98 Liverpool Lock-out both on Amberley and the 1985 Liverpool School Student Strike on Cafe Royal.
