A collection of hundreds of glass negatives, some film negatives and a few contact prints made by Arthur FitzGerald Cochrane (1888-1967), the only child of William Edward Cochrane (1858-1929) and Evelyn Constance Lamb (1858-1908). William was a partner and eventual sole owner of the Little Bow Cattle Company ranch in Alberta, Canada. Arthur would later be a Commander in the Royal Navy. The glass negatives date mainly from circa 1900 to circa 1915 and record Arthur's friends, instructors, activities and ships during the period he was a cadet in the Royal Navy. Also represented are various family and friends, houses, street scenes, etc. and photos of the ranch in Alberta. The film negatives date from 1913-1914 and record a honeymoon trip with his new bride by motor car in Europe. There are a few earlier film negatives as well.
